Shanyang City is located in the Qinling Mountains,which is known as “occupied by Eighty percent of mountains,ten percent of water and ten percent of field”.In addition,the natural landscape pattern of this area is outstanding,the ecological basement is favorable.In recent years,along with the rapid expansion of urban space,coupled with the constraints from the surrounding ecological environment,tight construction land resources,a series of problems have gradually emerged in the process of urban development,such as ecological environment destruction,landscape pattern disappearance,Loose spatial structure,disordered road network organization,inefficient service system,and poor quality of human settlements.How to choose a reasonable scope of urban development,control the boundary of spatial outspread,optimize the urban spatial structure,organize an efficient transportation network system,realize the effective coverage of the public service system,and build a convenient and livable living environment is particularly necessary for Shanyang City.The connotation of “compact city” that uses less land to provide more urban space and carry more and higher quality of life is fitting with the realistic development needs of Shanyang City.Therefore,this paper taking "compact city" as the guiding idea,combining relevant concepts and research results at home and abroad,deconstructs the spatial form of Shanyang City into three major systems: external boundary form,spatial structure form and land pattern form.It is planned to help the compact development of Shanyang City through the three major planning methods of “guaranteeing ecological base,controlling development boundary”,“Optimizing transportation system,improving space efficiency” and “Moderately mixxing the land type and improving service balance”.The research framework of the thesis consists of three parts: the research basics,the interpretation of the status quo and the compactness of the spatial form.The first part is the research basis,mainly related to the research background,the definition of related concepts and the review of domestic and foreign research.The second part is the interpretation of the status quo.The second part is the interpretation of the status quo.Mainly on the basis of interpreting the basic general situation of Shanyang city,this paper deeply analyzes the evolution and current characteristics of the spatial form of Shanyang city,and summed up the main features and key problems in the three aspects of external boundary morphology,spatial structure and land layout in the development process in recent years;The third part is mainly about the compact study of the spatial form of Shanyang city.It includes three parts: “protect ecological base,rationalize urban growth”,“Smooth traffic space,improve structural efficiency” and “Moderately mixxing the land type and improving service balance”.Each sub-section is guided by the compactness of urban development,forming a complete research path of "organizational strategyimplementation path-morphology simulation-quantitative comparison".In the part of “protect ecological base,rationalize urban growth”,it mainly considers three aspects: ecological rigidity limitation,demand of urban development and endogenous dynamics of spatial growth,comprehensively determine the staged urban spatial growth boundary that is most conducive to the compact development of Shanyang City by introducing compact eigenvalue parameters such as circular rate index and fractal dimension;in the part of “Smooth traffic space,improve structural efficiency”,firstly based on the current development problems and bottlenecks of Shanyang City,The main factors affecting the development of Shanyang city are sorted out;Secondly,it proposes the organizational strategies to promote the formation of compact development of the city.Then,it proposes three different directions of structural development path,and constructs the road network transportation systems that promotes the formation of various simulation structures from the spatial level.Finally,it is quantitatively compared by the axis model of spatial syntactic,the traffic resistance model and the traffic flow distribution model;In the part of “Moderately mixxing the land type and improving service balance”,mainly based on the fitting of three kinds of simulation structures,firstly,starting from the layout of functional elements,the optimization strategies is proposed for the five main functional elements of the ecological space,commercial space,production space,living space and service space;secondly,the above functional element space is divided into two types: the aggregate space and the equal space,and then explore the layout path;On this basis,the morphological simulation and element coordination of various functional spaces are carried out;finally,the Fragstats software and the analysis technology of facility service are used to quantitatively analyze the morphological representation and coupling relationship of various functional patches to compare the compactness of the patterns of land layout in the three simulation ideas.Taking the compact city as the research perspective,this paper attempts to explore the more compact urban spatial form of Shanyang City through the morphological simulation and superposition synthesis of external boundary shape,internal space structure and land function layout,in order to provide reference for the development of the same type of valley cities in southern Shaanxi and even larger.
