Research On The Public Buildings’ Rooftop Open Space Based On Compact City Theory

With the rapid development of cities and the expansion of urban population,the pattern of urban development presents a trend of disorderly sprawl,resulting in a series of urban problems,such as separation of production cities,traffic congestion and environmental degradation.The development of compact city concept undoubtedly provides reference basis for the development of the city today,it advocates to build a highly-gathered building complex,multiple functions of urban development,abundant urban space with human scale and good ecological environment.However,due to the excessive rapid city development and Bubble development in the construction industry at the present stage,it causes the architectural space of city property not getting enough attention,especially its significant type of space-the roof open space can’t get enough used and explored.Roof open space should not only meet the basic composition of architectural form and architectural interior space to surround close function,but also put the concept of "compact city" as the starting point to build more city open spaces,as well as achieve the purpose of integration of urban space,make use of land resource more efficiently and build the city environment.The research of this paper develops in accordance with the logic of raising a question,parsing the problem and solving the problem.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,this chapter analyzes the development background of compact city and the roof open space and analyses the purpose and significance of this paper,and then,defines the relevant concept..Finally,determine the research methods and contents of the paper,the logic framework of the study.The second chapter mainly focus on the study of public building roof open space’s ontologies,.The third chapter is mainly based on the concept of compact city development and its influence to explain the significance of exploring public building’s roof open space in compact urban environment,At the same time,this chapter also explains the existing problems based on the field researches.The fourth chapter is mainly based on the foreword summary,and puts forward specific design strategies for how to make the roof open space.On the relationship between the roof opening space and the city,architecture and context,the design strategy of roof openspace based on compact city concept is analyzed from three different angle.The fifth chapter mainly through actual case analysis of the different types of the building,make the transition from theory to practice,and once again verify the the application and expression of proposed design strategies above in the exhibition building,commercial buildings,culture buildings and city complex.
