Research On The Spatial Characteristics Of Taiwan's Traditional Private Garden

The earliest garden literature in Taiwan was the He Bin residential garden built in Tainan during the Dutch rule.When Taiwan entered the Qing Dynasty,bureaucratic landlords and wealthy literati began to build their own private parks,among which the existing private family parks in Taiwan.Banqiao “Linbenyuan Garden”,Tainan “Wuyuan”,Hsinchu“Beiguo yuan”and Wufeng “Laiyuan” are known as the four famous gardens in Taiwan.The development of Taiwan's traditional gardens is based on the official department,and there are many private homes.Therefore,this paper is based on the background of Taiwan's traditional gardens.It first collects relevant literature to determine the traditional human influence factors of Taiwan.The well-preserved Linbenyuan Garden and Wufeng Laiyuan include aspects of the overall layout and composition elements;after sorting and analysis,it can be used as a type of traditional garden landscape space in Taiwan.This study first reviewed the development of Taiwan's private family parks and sorted out the factors that influenced Taiwan's gardens.Finally,the three representative gardens are compared and analyzed from the background,function,spatial layout and landscaping techniques,thus obtaining the spatial layout characteristics of the private family park in Taiwan.In terms of the layout of the Taiwan area,it can be summarized in three ways: the building is surrounded by the court,the vestibule is behind the house,and the scattered and independent.The spatial combination of the garden buildings is embodied in the two types of the introversion space and the open extrovert space..The spatial characteristics can be summarized as follows:(1)The architectural style is biased toward the southern Fujian style.(2)Screen type rockery,geometric water body.(3)Hybrid planting techniques.Planting is mainly based on evergreen and local tree species,and planting is more suitable for the type of building.(4)The layout of small gardens can be divided into parallel,integrated and distributed.Through on-the-spot investigation and investigation of the existing private family parks in Taiwan,it is believed that Taiwan's private family parks are similar to the motherland's mainland,but they have their own distinct characteristics and regional characteristics.This is worthy of our in-depth study and reference.
