As the population ages rapidly,the number of older people with Dementia is increasing.According to the world Alzheimer’s 2018 report,Alzheimer’s disease has replaced cancer as the most intractable disease in the United States and is an epidemic in the world today and in the future.China accounts for about a quarter of the total number of Dementia elderly people in the world,and is the country with the largest number of Dementia elderly people in the world.Most people used to think that if they got Dementia,they would have to go to go into long-term care facilities and be stuck in front of the TV forever.In fact,Dementia elders still retain many abilities,and there are many things they can do that have their own value.The research contents of this paper mainly include the following aspects: chapter one,through the analysis of the current situation and future development trend of Dementia in China,as well as related policy support,puts forward the urgency and prospect of the study on living space of Dementia care facilities;The second chapter,from the Dementia affecting the quality of life related to space panoramic study,this paper respectively from the Angle of medical development,care the view of practice development and Dementia related environment theory,comprehensive understanding of cognitive disorder care facilities space design concerns,put forward to focus on retaining ability,focus on the overall quality of life and pay attention to daily activities in the direction of the three aspects as space design;The third chapter,based on the daily activities of related literature,care case collection combined with field investigation,the daily life of Dementia care facilities and the corresponding living space needs further analysis,summarized in Dementia influence cognitive disorder in elderly care facilities five daily activities in the quality of life,namely the individual daily life activity,diet,health activities,walking activities,theme activities),and the corresponding key living space,bedroom space,public space,health space,walking space and related space requirements;The fourth chapter,combined with case practice and literature research,discusses the key points of space design.Chapter five,through the field research on the practice of domestic Dementia care facilities,pays attention to the implementation of these strategies and the reasons behind them,and further explains the problems in the implementation of the strategies based on my own design practice.
