A Preliminary Study Of The Imitation Wood Stone Que In The Eastern Han Dynasty

Que,a form of ritual architecture in ancient China,is built in pairs on both sides of the entrance of the capital,palace,cemetery and other buildings.Que originated in the pre-Qin period and flourished in the Qin and Han Dynasties.It is an important representative form of early Chinese architecture.However,after thousands of years of vicissitudes,the early civil Que has basically disappeared,only the stone Que of the Eastern Han dynasty built by imitating the civil Que can survive.According to statistics,there are more than 30 stone Que in the Eastern Han Dynasty,which are concentrated in Henan,Shandong,Sichuan and Chongqing,among which Sichuan and Chongqing account for the highest proportion.From the perspective of the form of stone Que,the stone Que with wood like structure located in Sichuan and Chongqing area accurately and rigorously depicted the civil Que at that time,providing precious materials for the study of early Chinese architecture.In addition,Stone Que is a kind of wood like sculpture that has been preserved since the Eastern Han Dynasty.They present many vague features of early Chinese wood architecture.Therefore,the study of stone Que in the Eastern Han Dynasty has important reference value for understanding the architectural form,structural logic and structural technology of early architecture in China.In this paper,the existing stone Que in the Eastern Han Dynasty as the main research object,through the way of field research,combined with the achievements of history,archaeology,philology and other related disciplines in this area,the characteristics of early Chinese wood structure are studied.The paper plans to carry on from the following five aspects: first,clarify the definition of Que,summarize the development process and types of Que;second,combine the existing achievements of Archaeology and Philology,according to the archaeological remains of the Qin and Han Dynasties Que,explore the changes in the architectural form of Que;third,divide the existing stone Que into three parts through on-the-spot investigation,mapping and consulting the historical documents For the imitation wood stone Que and non imitation wood stone Que,and focus on the preservation of more complete imitation wood stone Que,case study,the establishment of graphic database;fourth,combined with the case analysis,from the plane shape,structural characteristics,the overall structure of three aspects,the stone Que reflects the characteristics of China's early wood architecture summarized;fifth,according to the above summary of the early wood architecture Construct the characteristics of architecture,speculate to restore the architecture of the Han Dynasty.
