Research On The Traditional Stone-built Resi-dential Wall Across The Mountainous Area In Northern Henan

In recent years,traditional dwellings have received more and more attention,and its status has been significantly improved,especially after the government has adopted a series of measures.At present,the research on traditional dwellings in China has achieved fruitful results,with most of the research focusing on the shape,material composition,cultural characteristics and thermal insulation performance of residential houses,however,there haven't been any research targeted on the wall structure characteristics and construction technology of stone residential buildings,especially for the traditional stone dwellings in the mountainous area of northern Henan.Based on this,the author will carry out research on the traditional stone-built residential wall across the mountainous area of northern Henan.The “Beautiful China Rural Travel” program with the theme of rural tourism and ecological civilization came to show on CCTV7 after the “18th National Congress of the CPC” report put forward the initiative of Beautiful China.Meanwhile,the government strengthened and called on universities to participate in the protection and restoration of the traditional stone dwellings located in mountainous area.Given this condition,the author will study the wall of the traditional stone dwellings in the mountainous area,aimed to provide reference for the restoration.Firstly,this paper analyzes the current situation of the traditional stone dwellings from three aspects,location layouts,courtyard forms and residential characteristics respectively;Secondly,through the research on walls' development,types and function,this paper analyzes its wall structure;In the end,this paper analyzed its construction process and structure features by carrying out the detailed research on the construction skills of square stone wall,rubble wall,and slate wall.Further,it concluded the technical requirements and building principles with the purpose to enrich the research of domestic traditional dwellings.
