Study On The Stone-wall And Wood-structure Residential Buildings In Xujiashan, Ninghai, Zhejiang

The stone-wall and wood-structure residential villages and buildings in Ninghaireceive little attention owning to its remote geographic location and inconvenienttransportation. With the rapid development of social economy, villagers all move outto work and it turns out that the antiquated villages and traditional dwellings can nolonger adapt to the demands of the modern way of life, and they are abandoned ordismantled gradually. As a component of the traditional dwellings in Ninghai, itscultural attribute and agricultural characteristics are of great study value.In this paper, the stone-wall and wood-structure residential buildings inXujiashan, Ninghai, Zhejiang were taken as the research target, the history, causes,and current distribution of the stone-wall and wood-structure residential buildings, aswell as the major representation in Ninghai was introduced firstly. And then, theformation of Xujiashan, the overall current distribution and the specific conditions ofthe current residential building were classified and analyzed. Combining with thematerialsobtained in the on-field mapping, including the drawing and data, the planetype, architectural image, structure and material color of the stone-wall andwood-structure residential buildings in Xujiashan were studied from the perspectiveof architectural composition.Through the classification and conclusion of the drawing materials, as well as thediscussion about thetypes of typical traditional dwellings, structures and theconstruction technology in Xujiashan, it hopes to provide assistance to the protection,utilization and repair of the stone-wall and wood-structure villages and singleconstructions in Xujiashan, and provide references for similar cases in other regionsof eastern Zhejiang.
