In recent years,the development of China's highway has gradually entered the maintenance phase from the construction stage.In the maintenance phase,the scientific,economical and efficient maintenance work is the guarantee o f a smooth pavement,and also is the common demand of road management and road users.Pavement maintenance system is a kind of auxiliary decision-making tool.It achieved the best efficiency of the road resources by scientific management and ensured that the pavement management is scientific,systematic,and modern.Our research of pavement maintenance decision system is still in the initial stage,so this paper brings a positive significance to the development of highway maintenance.Considering the actual situation of highway development in Hunan and the problems of highway pavement maintenance,we analyze the factors that affect the performance of the highway from many aspects and scientifically construct the decision-making system of pavement maintenance.Based on the decision-making system,combining with machine learning,we utilize the support vector machine method to establish the pavement maintenance decision model.Matlab simulation experiments show that the decision-making system is scientific and reasonable,and the decision model is feasible and effective to predict the pavement performance.Finally in this paper we design and develop the pavement maintenance decision system,and also applies the pavement maintenance decision system based on supp ort vector machine to the actual system.When the system is on line,the collection and screening of highway data would be more convenient.Also the transparency of the highway maintenance industry would be improved significantly.The management staffs can check the maintenance information of high speed section in anytime,meanwhile making timely warning and decision for the use of the section of the road.
