| Rural public space is the main place where people can freely enter and exit for daily communication,such as rest,conversation,or organize social activities such as villagers’ assembly,festival sacrifice,red and white events.It is not only a material space carrier to undertake villagers’ public activities,but also a cultural space carrier to carry rural folklore and order,a memory and context accumulated in the long-term development of rural society,and a key place to maintain rural interpersonal relations and social order,which has profound historical,cultural and social values.With the development of rural community construction,the value of rural public space has been paid more and more attention,and the design and construction of rural community public space has become a topic of great concern in rural construction.But from the reality,many problems are exposed in the construction process,such as not considering the regional characteristics,the homogenization of rural public space is serious;ignoring the villagers’ use needs,daily behavior habits,making the space lack of use and vitality,resulting in the "design after" space no one use,villagers indifferent to its development and other consequences.Based on the first-hand information,this paper analyzes how the design team can introduce participatory design into the construction of rural community public space,let users participate in the construction and operation of community public space,so that the "space" can achieve the most effective and long-term use,play the greatest value;at the same time,through the process of participation,space users into an active "community ",to develop their ability to govern and operate the community independently.The thesis is discussed in seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,expounds the relevant background,significance,domestic and foreign research status,ideas and methods,and defines and discriminates the relevant concepts.The second chapter analyzes the historical evolution,significance and value of traditional rural public space,as well as the problems and difficulties faced,so as to explain the urgency and necessity of building rural public space.The third chapter studies and analyzes the theory and case of participatory design,and demonstrates the feasibility of participatory design in rural public space from two aspects: rural and community.The fourth chapter describes the material space construction of the ink warehouse under the promotion of participatory design,and describes the process of space design and construction with the participation of stakeholders,including villagers,on the basis of which the positive impact of participatory design on participants is discussed.Chapter V describes how rural public spaces are used after construction.By carrying out community education,festival activities,research activities,workshops and so on,the participatory design is introduced into the community space,and the enthusiasm of villagers to participate in community affairs and the ability of community autonomy are cultivated while the space is activated.The sixth chapter discusses the role and influence of participatory design involved in rural public space construction,including the reconstruction of social relations and the transformation of participating leaders,and reflects on the whole process and results.The seventh chapter is the conclusion part,combs and summarizes the main points of the paper.Based on the reality of the countryside,this study makes a concrete discussion on the subject of participatory design involved in the construction of rural public space.It is expected that through the induction and summary of its experience,it will be helpful to the construction and construction of rural public space. |
