| The public space of the historical block as a place to carry the urban context,whether its physical space environment or cultural traditions,is an indispensable part of the city’s cultural background,distinctive features and vitality.Nowadays,due to the rapid growth of urban population and the continuous acceleration of urban development,the vitality of public spaces in historic districts has been lost.However,most of the researches on the vitality of public spaces in historical districts in China are qualitative researches,which are slightly insufficient in quantitative research and technological development.Big data technology provides us with multi-source data and analytical processing techniques,and provides new techniques and methods for the study of the spatial vitality of historical blocks.Big data technology,as an emerging technology,is changing our lives and the way we understand the world.Applying big data technology to the improvement of the vitality of public spaces in historical blocks,collecting main information from various types of data,and transforming our past logical thinking problems of the human brain into probabilistic calculation problems based on big data will enhance our ability to solve problems,scientific research,and rational update.In this context,the article chooses the activity of public spaces in historical blocks as the research object.First of all,quantitatively analyzes the activity of public spaces in historical blocks.By summarizing relevant academic research and considering the relevant elements of historical blocks that can be quantified by multivariate data,the external characterization of public space activity and influencing factors are proposed as analysis content,in which the external characterization is the degree of crowd aggregation and influencing factors are choosed from four perspectives: traffic organization—accessibility and smoothness;functional format—mixing degree and aggregation degree;landscape greening—greening degree;spatial form—spatial scale and enclosure degree.ARCGIS is used to quantify,visualize and correlate the obtained multivariate data,and to summarize the internal connection between the vitality of public space and material space.Based on theoretical research and data analysis,the conclusion of this study is obtained.From the four aspects of traffic organization,functional format,landscape greening and spatial form,it proposes a strategy for improving the degree of activity,and provides methods and guidance for creating a public space in a vibrant historic street.By enhancing the reach of pedestrian scale,establishing an intelligent transportation system,and building a hierarchical transportation system,a continuous transportation organization of historical blocks is formed;by establishing mixed blocks,applying data design and planning function formats,and perfecting equal public facilities,a variety of historical blocks of functional formats is planned;through the establishment of a scientific greening system,the introduction of smart landscape sketches,and the creation of a dynamic monitoring system to improve the greening of historical blocks in science and technology;by creating a human-oriented spatial scale,constructing visual spatial information,and building public participation platform to create a humanized spatial form of historical blocks.In general,this article puts forward the quantitative concept of activity to measure the specific vitality of public space in historical blocks.Through quantitative analysis of the activity of public space in historical blocks under the background of big data technology,it summarizes regular issues and proposes the corresponding activeness promotion strategy. |
