Since its birth,the commercial complex has been one of the important places for shopping,leisure and social communication.On the one hand,the acceleration of China's urbanization process has promoted the rapid development of commercial complexes.In Shanghai,a large number of commercial real estate developers are constantly replicating their branded commercial complexes in every corner of the city,giving people the feeling of thousands of similar shops.On the other hand,with the rapid growth of China's online retail market and the improvement of people's material level and spiritual pursuit,experiential consumption has become the biggest incentive for commercial complex buildings to survive and attract consumers,making it particularly important to enhance the activity of indoor public space.Based on the above-mentioned development background,taking Shanghai,the national economic and financial center,as an example,starting from the perspective of environmental behavior theory.First,define the specific research object,and determine the influencing factors of the activity of the indoor public space of the commercial complex through the components of spatial activity,which are space feeling,material function and spiritual experience.Secondly,the activity evaluation system of indoor public space in commercial complex is constructed,including the activity satisfaction evaluation based on consumer demand and the user space behavior evaluation based onuser group analysis and user behavior type analysis.Based on this,the typical commercial complex in Shanghai is selected for field investigation.Through the investigation and analysis of the space,business form,function and other aspects of the investigation case,we can understand the users' satisfaction with the use of the indoor public space and the activity of the public space of the commercial complex in the target investigation case,and we can not only summarize the design methods worthy of learning in the excellent commercial complex in Shanghai,but also summarize the methods worthy of reference or improvement.Based on the above analyze and research,the paper propose strategies for improving the activity of the indoor public spaces in commercial complex,which are divided into three levels: space perception,material function and spiritual experience.Ten design strategies corresponding to the three above mentioned aspects are proposed,including the rational setting of recreational space,humanized spatial scale,high-quality landscape space,various combination possibilities,perfect signage system,reasonable control of spatial rhythm,guidance of passenger flow balance,emphasis on tapping regional cultural characteristics,focus on the combination with art and theme planning.Through the research on the strategy of promoting the vitality of the indoor public space of the commercial complex,it is of great significance to the development of the commercial complex itself and the long-term development of the urban space vitality.The conclusion of this study not only provides a favorable reference for the development of commercial complex in Xi'an,but also provides some useful reference for designers in the future.It has important theoretical and practical significance.
