Northwest Guangxi is a region with rich climate types,varied topography and complex ethnic groups.Different ethnic cultures blend here and collide,forming a unique and diverse human landscape.As an important part of the human landscape,traditional dwellings are closely related to the natural environment in which the nation is located,as well as its social culture,customs,economics,and aesthetic concepts.The Zhuang and Yao nationalities,as the two most populous ethnic minorities in northwestern Guangxi,represent the mainstream of traditional dwellings in northwestern Guangxi.The traditional architectural culture of the two also has distinct origins.The collision and exchange of two architectural cultures in the northwestern region of Guangxi is a question worthy of study.This thesis uses the knowledge of archaeology,molecular anthropology,architectural history and other disciplines to systematically sort out the origin and evolution of the traditional dwelling buildings of Zhuang and Yao nationalities,and summarize their respective characteristics.Through field research,we will study the traditional villages and traditional houses of the Zhuang and Yao nationalities in the northwest of Guangxi.Firstly,the layout and environment of each village were analyzed,and the public space morphological characteristics of the village were discussed,which laid a foundation for the study of Zhuang Yao traditional dwellings in the area.According to the summary of the survey data,the flat shape of Zhuang traditional dwellings in northwestern Guangxi can be divided into "front porch-hall house-bedroom type","townhouse long house type","front hall back room type","one Ming two" There are five types of dark-fire pond type and one clear and two dark type.The flat shape of Yao traditional dwellings can be divided into "internal non-separated type","one clear and two dark type",and "front and back room type".Kinds,the traditional flats of Zhuang Yao have different planes,but there are obvious mutual influences in the northwestern Guangxi.The structural form of Zhuang in northwest Guangxi is mainly a large forked frame and a bucket-type structure,and there is a clear evolution relationship between the two.The structural form of the traditional Yao people’s dwellings is the hard mountain shelving-the large fork hand structure.Some Yao people have been influenced by the Zhuang people and began to use the whole wooden structure,which is also divided into a large fork structure and a bucket structure.The walls of traditional dwellings in Zhuangyao in northwestern Guangxi can be divided into wooden walls,rammed earth walls,bamboo bone mud walls and masonry walls according to different materials.Roofs can be divided into hanging hills,resting hills and cat ears roofs according to different structural forms.The fire pit is divided into an overhead fire pit and a ground fire pit.The article summarizes the architectural characteristics of Zhuang and Yao traditional dwellings in northwestern Guangxi,and discusses the possible evolution and interaction of these architectural features.
