Age-friendliness Oriented The Public Space Planning Of Old Community

Ageing populations is a severe social issue in China.With the development of society,the viewpoint of provide for the aged is changing from healthy ageing to positive ageing,and the pilot works of age-friendliness of cities have been carried out in many countries.Community is the base unit of city,and the public space in community is not only the important carrier of social communication and the performance of amity,quality,and vitality of community,but also is the key for the “aged-care at home” and “age-friendliness of cities”.Due to the social exclusion and social isolation in aging society,the paper relies on the interaction between the aged and space,takes public space as a breakthrough point,takes the old community as the research object,discusses residential planning and design based on the stock spaces,tries to stimulate social interaction and promote social integration.The paper thinks the unused plots and fragmentary lands are the breakthrough points of public space alteration and recycle.Based on the “pocket park” concept and communication guidance,the paper puts forward the age-friendliness of public space planning ideas from public space joint layout and construction,connecting path optimization and remodeling,overall space building and preservation.Beside the suited,suitable,and respecting characters,the sharing and containment should be extruded in age-friendliness of public space,stress the whole-age sharing,improving the social communication,neighborly relations,and social integration.
