Harbin,a world-renowned "city of ice",is one of the main cities for winter snow and ice tourism in China.As a form of cultural innovation,cultural and creative products can express the cultural characteristics of a city to a certain extent.Therefore,research on the design of Harbin ice and snow creative products can broaden the design thinking of ice and snow products,further promote the development of Harbin ice and snow related industries,and raise the image of Harbin.In this paper,the cultural and creative industries,design semiotics,regional tourism souvenirs,cultural and creative product design as well as relevant literature,development status domestic and abroad were all investigated and analyzed.Based on the in-depth study of semiotics theory,the symbol composition of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products are analyzed.The design of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products is analyzed from three aspects: semantics,language structure and pragmatics of design semiotics.The development strategy of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative industry is discussed,and the refining process of symbols and the spreading process of symbols is summarized.The ice and snow cultural symbols of Harbin are analyzed from perspectives of ice and snow sports symbols,ice and snow art symbols and ice and snow tourism symbols,and related ice-snow cultural products.This paper analyzes the development of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products from four aspects: advantage analysis,disadvantage analysis,opportunity analysis and threat analysis,points out the existing problems of Harbin cultural and creative products,and summarizes the design principles of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products.The symbol extraction method and process of Harbin Ice Snow cultural and creative products are put forward,and the design practice is carried out.Firstly,through the investigation,the user’s preference for Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products is clarified,and the design symbols of language description are extracted based on the analysis of the preferred famous Harbin scenic spots.Secondly,this paper uses semantic difference method to evaluate the sensibility of typical ice and snow cultural and creative products.SPSS software is used for statistics to extract the sensibility design vocabulary of ice and snow cultural and creative products.Thirdly,according to the extracted perceptual design vocabulary,the design symbols described in the language are extracted into specific graphic design elements by symbol extraction.Finally,on the basis of the design analysis of semantic,constructional and pragmatic dimension,the design practice of Harbin Ice and snow cultural and creative products including product design,logo design and packaging design is completed,and the perceptual evaluation of the designed products is carried out.
