The China-Railway Express is organized by the China Railway Corporation and operates according to fixed trains, routes, schedules and full-time operation times,it's also the international intermodal trains for containers and other railways running between China and Europe and countries along the “Belt and Road”.It is not only an important carrier for deepening economic and trade cooperation between our country and the countries along the route, but also an important starting point for promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Therefore, studying the impact of the opening of the China-Railway Express on the trade costs will not only push forward the economic and traffic collaboration between China and relevant partner countries, but also help to provide targeted suggestions for the future construction of the CR Express. This paper understands the “change” brought about by the implementation of the “Belt and Road”policy to China 's trade from a qualitative perspective, and then conducts a quantitative study from three perspectives:(1)For China and 50 countries, using Novy 's(2013)trade cost calculation model to calculate 2002-2018 the trade costs,so it can provide data support for subsequent empirical analysis;(2)Build the CR Express evaluation index system, and establish the logistics performance analysis model to calculate the ability of logistics of 7 normalized CR Expresses;(3)Using the improved gravitational model, empirically test the impact of opening the CR Express on the trade costs. The results show that:(1)From 2002 to 2018,China and 50 countries' s bilateral trade costs along the CR Express generally showed a downward trend. In 2018,the trade costs decreased by 29.13% compared to 2002,which is a larger decline;(2)Using the AHP-gray correlation model to calculate the logistics performance of 7 CRExpresses,it is very easy to find that the Rongou train has the best logistics performance;(3)Empirical analysis shows that, the logistics performance and trade openness of the CR Express have a significant negative correlation on the trade costs, the existence of a common border between the two countries reduces trade costs to some extent, the difference of GDP to population ratio and the distance between the capitals of the two countries have a significant positive effect on trade costs.
