Strategically located on the new Eurasia land bridge, eight rail container routes on the China-Western Europe trade pass through Belarus and Belarus every year experiencing a substantial transit growth through it’s territory. Those trade passes enable cargo to move much faster between China and Germany via Kazakhstan,Russia,Belarus and Poland, taking about 17 days.In comparison, sea freight takes around three weeks longer, although the freight cost of travelling by rail is about 60-70%higher.As shippers have become more receptive to the expanding rail container routes, more than 3,000 Sino-European trains used Belarus’s rail network in 2017.Two pan-European Corridors-Ⅱ(Berlin-Moscow)and IX(Helsinki-Greece)-pass through Belarus, strengthening its position as a main trade and transport thoroughfare in the region.Standing at the border between Belarus and Poland is the Kozlovichi-Kukuryki checkpoint-one of the busiest cargo truck checkpoints between the Commonwealth of Independent States(CIS)and the European Union(EU).Currently, more than 100.000.000 tons of goods transit through Belarus every year, supporting a large transport sector that accounts for 6%of GDP.The present volume of trade,as well as the country’s ongoing investment in infrastructure for transportation and manufacturing industry, continues to make Belarus prosper as an important node on the Silk Road Economic Belt.Having reaped the early profits from the increasing level of Asia-Europe rail traffic, the country’s state-owned railway company,Belarusian Railways,is anticipating an uptrend in Eurasian cargo flows. For 2018,it expects container shipping on the China-EU-China route to grow by a further 30%to top 300,000 containers, after a 74%year-on-year growth to 245,400 containers last year.As new logistics and trans-shipment facilities are being built to handle the switches between broad-gauge(1,520mm)and standard-gauge(1,435mm)rail for trains carrying Chinese/Asian cargo to the EU market,or consolidate shipments before sorting and sending to final customers or warehouses in Europe, industry agglomeration featuring manufacturing relocation is also in the offing.Belarus is prospective manufacturing relocation destination for foreign businessesFast growing number of foreign enterprises coming to Belarus to set up their production lines will without any doubt essentially increase the cargo flow through BelarusUnder Belarus’s membership of the Eurasian Economic Union(EAEU or EEU),products made in Belarus can be treated, subject to the country of origin rules,as Belarusian-made and able to be exported to the other EAEU markets of Russia,Kazakhstan,Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, free of tariffs. The biggest percentage of all state domestic investments is used in infrastructure development(around 28%of all domestic investments)Taking into account the geographical position of the Republic of Belarus(the junction of two economic spaces, the European Union and Eurasia),the Republic of Belarus pays great attention to the upgrading of roads and railways, airports(including regional ones),the construction of new subway stations and the development of transport infrastructure in order to strengthen its transport capacity.Theoretical significance:The topic of my research "Analysis of the influence of "One Belt and One Road"initiative on logistics of Belarus" is describing one of the most important and one of the central development directions of the economy of my country.Belarus-China cooperation is an outstanding example of realization of "One Belt,One road" initiative and "Reforms and openness, policy implementation outside China, which is an substantial step forward for China converging with global society and market. The data collected while doing my research will be used for determining the correlation between Chinese investments, credits provided in Belarus and the development of logistics trends, development of infrastructure, transport infrastructure in particular, transport and so on.Practical significance:The results of my research can be practically used by Chinese and Belarusian ministries of transport, ministries of trade and commerce and other governmental organization who are in charge of state investment policies, related with transport and other spheres. In addition, the results of my research provide decision-making basis and management suggestions for Belarusian and foreign enterprises that are doing or going to do business in Belarus, planning one way or another modify their logistic chains or relocate their production lines, expand on European or Euroasian market. The development of transportation routes, trade promotion and other sides of“One Belt,One Road”initiative are being deeply researching and described in many books magazines and different papers by scientists from all over the world. This topic is mainstream and the whole global society is keeping eye on the development of this initiative. That can be proved by the literature reference of my paper, which contains names of scientists from all over the world.Research methods:In my research Ⅰ will use theoretical, statistical and econometric methods, autocorrelation and market modeling.Expected research objectives:I expect that my research will show the potential substantial growth of cargo transit flow through Belarus, what will positively influence belarusian economic situation, development of infrastructure and positive change in the product structure of cargo flow.Key issues to be resolved:The main issue is to gather the necessary data, define the right mathematical models and correctly implement them analysis in the chapters 3,4,5.Research innovation:The topic of my research is very fresh and trendy. And the economic figures of my paper are extremely up to date, what can provide the most fresh, decent and accurate view on the described topic and the correlation between Belarusian booming grows of production enterprises(that means grows of goods production in nearest future)and potentional increase of cargo transit volume and potential and optimization of cargo structure has not yet been described in any opened informational sources...
