As a “bridge” connecting small and medium cities to the outside, regional aviation can meet the travel needs of the people and drive local economic development. In recent years,China's economic growth, increased investment and policy support have brought a good development background and foundation for regional aviation. At the same time, the demand for a perfect hub-radiation route network generated by the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry has strongly promoted the regional aviation The development of aviation, but the current economic development is too fast, the transportation system planning cannot be coordinated with regional aviation, resulting in uneven development of regional aviation between cities, regional differences in accessibility, and to some extent hinder the health of regional aviation And sustainable development. Therefore, analyzing how regional aviation should operate from the perspective of urban accessibility is an important prerequisite for maximizing the value of regional aviation. In this paper, distance, flight frequency, and number of navigable cities are selected as indicators to characterize the operational status of regional aviation. From this, eight types of regional aviation operations are demarcated. The change of urban accessibility is discussed. The effects of regional aviation operations on urban accessibility are discussed. The following conclusions are drawn: First, the impact of different types of regional aviation operations on urban accessibility at the same time is different.Second, there are differences in the impact of different types of airline operations on urban accessibility at different times.Third, the key factors affecting urban accessibility at different times are different.Fourth, the total economic development, economic development level, and accessibility spatial pattern of the branch cities are basically the same, showing a trend of high in the east and low in the west, and the phenomenon of "two poles" is prominent.Based on the above conclusions, this article proposes an urban accessibility improvement path based on regional aviation operations, providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for regional aviation operations.
