Research On Integrated Product Development(IPD) Management System Of TB Company

As the most critical part in household appliance,the PCBA controller plays a very important role to realize various functions and interfaces with human operation.PCBA controller supplier must develop not only innovative but also qualified and reliable products.TB have been engaged in home appliance controller design and production for many years,to meet requirements described above TB need to build IPD management system urgently.In this article,the author firstly illustrates basic knowledge of foreign R&D management system and modularized product development,and trying to use the knowledge to re-construct the current product development system.This article briefly introduces the operation status of TB,Inc,analyses advantage and disadvantage,opportunity and challenge of TB with SWOT,aiming to find existing issues of the company and improve the company strategies for both product development and marketing.The existing problems and R&D management system of TB,Inc are specified in detail.The author proposed a model of matrix management system,and to set up a cross-functional team to push forward the integrated production development,and employees are assessed by KPI to assure actions are implemented as expected.Besides,marketing department should make clear strategy and collect sufficient information of market demand and perform feasible product planning to develop more popular products.This article mainly researches how to build integrated product development management system,and set up R&D system which is driven by market demand and product platform.These new systems are raised to solve current company issues,such as R&D achievement not shared as expected,low efficient product development,quality instability and so on.This article presents how to set up and execute modularized platform development system based on IPD theory: technology team develop standard modules and interface,product team develop customized modules,then combine different modules together to develop new products.And this article also introduces in detail the modularized development experience of controllers of kitchen appliance,which is the main business of the author’s department,with this modularized development strategy,TB dramatically increases development cycle and reliability of the product,therefore helps the appliance manufactures launch their new machines to market in time and improve their competitive power.
