Applied Research Of Home Appliance Controller Design Based On Mental Model And Narrative Design

With the development of science and technology,driven by the upsurge of intelligent technology,the development of household appliances towards the direction of intelligence and high-tech has become a trend.From the perspective of home appliance products experience,intelligent home appliance products to a certain extent enhance the user experience.However,the design of household appliances over-focuses on the intelligent elements,but it is easy to make designers ignore the importance of the real needs of users for product design.For different age and culture,different operating needs of the user groups,the application effects of intelligent elements in home appliances are not the same.Therefore,product design should not be based on the degree of intelligence to define the advantages and disadvantages,but should be based on the comfort of product use experience,the degree of humanization of operation as the design guidance.From the point of view of user experience,this paper discusses how to give products a control mode without frustration,so that users can gain high-quality experience and improve the quality of life when manipulating products.Based on the Mental Model and Narrative Design,which are two design theories based on "human nature",combined with the air-conditioning controller design project in the enterprise,this paper carries out research from the painful point of previous user experience,searches for innovative ways of product design,and contributes to the construction of the design theory system.In this paper,the theory of Mental Model and Narrative Design is briefly introduced,and the relationship between Mental Model and Narrative Design is analyzed.Focusing on how to position users and products in the process of product design and development,the author deeply considers and discusses the process of user Mental information collection and Narrative Design presentation methods,and expounds the situation of product Narrative Design under the Mental Model on the basis of user experience research.Through the analysis of the current situation of home appliance controller,the experience mode of controller design is described.The existing problems of the controller are pointed out.This paper explores how to apply Mental Model and Narrative design thinking framework in product design.In addition,from several important aspects in-depth discussion of the Mental Model and Narrative Design on the home appliance controller design innovation methods.Aiming at the advantages of Mental Model and Narrative Design in the design of household appliance controller and the effects of the two theories on the design,this paper analyzes the controller design from three aspects: design thinking,design mode and designmethod.It also points out the innovative thinking path of home appliance controller design.The design innovation mode of how to carry on the second narration is put forward.The method of combining Mental Model with Narrative Design in the design innovation of household appliance controller is summarized.The feasibility,scientificity and rationality of applying Mental Model and Narrative Design theory are demonstrated in combination with graduation design practice.The purpose of this paper is to provide theoretical basis for the improvement of product design of household appliance controllers,and also hope to apply the new theory to product design and form new innovative methods and ideas to provide reference.
