Research On The Design Trends Of Self-driving Cars For Young Groups

With the development of information technology,automobiles are more and more integrated into people's daily lives,accounting for a growing share of people's traveling.Advances in technology have provided more possibilities for automotive design,and the rapid development of autonomous vehicles has also brought more changes in structure,layout,and style.At the same time,younger groups are gradually becoming the main force in the automotive consumer market,and to a large extent can represent the demand of it in the next few years.Their living habits and consumer demands are very different from other groups.They have new aesthetic standards and travel needs,and they pay more attention to the manifestation of self-worth.The research focus of this paper is to combine the design of autonomous vehicles with user research.Through the analysis of the design elements of autonomous vehicles and the research on the lifestyle and consumption characteristics of users,the design features of autonomous vehicles will be identified and the needs of potential users will be discovered.As a result,the design trends can be summarized.The paper first analyzes the development process and key technologies of autonomous vehicles,and understands the development trends and characteristics of the industry.Then it analyzes the design elements of autonomous vehicles.The main visual elements of exterior modeling and interior design elements are analyzed and summed up in the comparative analysis method.The design features of autonomous vehicles on exterior modeling and interior design are summarized as well.Then through the investigation and information collation,the young people's age characteristics,social background,demand characteristics and other information are analyzed,which is helpful to the determination of the user's research content.Based on the life form theory,a questionnaire survey is conducted from the aspects of demographic variables,life form variables,vehicle preferences and travel needs.The analysis methods of cluster analysis and cross analysis are used to analyze the obtained data.The paper subdivides the groups,and summarizes the commonalities and differences of the groups.Combining in-depth interviews to get users' deeper needs and characteristics will contribute to the transformation of design trends.Finally,according to the analysis and research in the previous sections,the design trends of autonomous vehicles for young groups are summarized,and the relevant initial conceptual design is carried out to verify the research conclusions...
