Mobile Terminal Product Usability Research And Interaction Design For Young Children

In recent years,the children mobile Internet device users are increasing,and there are increasing number of children APPS based on the mobile phones and surface products.As a new technology and new media in this progressing era,Mobile Internet is accessing into children(preschoolers)`s life and becoming one of the new ways they acquire knowledge and joy.Under this circumstances,the paper start from the interaction design of the children mobile internet devices,then research on these devices in respect of usability and finally propose a guideline the interaction design of children`s product,hoping that it could contribute to interaction design research of children’s products.The paper is developed in the following aspects.Studying the methods and the relevant theoretical knowledge including the children’s psychology,interaction design and usability,the methods and principles are chosen typically for this paper.By using the methods of desk analysis,user interview and scenario investigation,it explored behaviors and cognitions of the children`s product users and their parents and finally built persona model of children`s products.Regarding the research process,the methods of usability are applied including the heuristic expert evaluation,usability test and Perceptual image analysis,viewing and discussing the behaviors of the children users on the dimension of efficiency,effectiveness and satisfaction.Finally,the results are analyzed,providing the abundant evidences for the interaction design guideline of children users.The research is mainly summarized the child’s user group characteristics and expectations,proposing the interactive guide of children mobile products and products attractive.And design the real pattern products based on the design guideline.The children’s interaction model is evaluated,so as to verify the validity of the design guidelines and guide the practice significance.In this paper,the research aims to explore the design guideline of mobile end products via studying the usability problems of the children using mobile product,in order to provide reference for design and optimization of interaction design children’s products design.
