Cave dwelling is one of the important types of typical dwellings in the Loess Plateau,which is also the oldest form or residence containing rich traditional Chinese farming culture,carrying the genetic code and ideological wisdom of the Chinese civilization.The spatial orientation is closely related to the architectural layout.As a traditional cultural phenomenon,the concept of architectural orientation is the carrier of the combination of the concept of natural environment,humanity and society.At the same time,it contains the logic of the traditional social spatial order,and the view of position has important significance in the traditional village spatial organization.Baishe Village is located in Sanyuan County,Shaanxi Province.The number of cave dwellings in the village is quite large,and the village layout,humanities and historical buildings are well preserved.Baishe Village is a natural village with well-preserved status and complete spatial structure.It is the typical and representative for the research on China’s traditional orientation concept.This dissertation takes the spatial orientation of traditional dwellings as the research perspective,and takes the village space and the cave dwellings in Baishe Village of Sanyuan County as the research object,analyzing from the natural physical environment and traditional cultural concepts simultaneously,from large to small.The spatial hierarchy divides and systematically combs the influencing factors and logic of the composition of traditional villages and residential areas in Baishe Village.This dissertation aims to sort out the relationship between the spatial composition and orientation of the cave dwellings in Baishe Village,and reveal the internal relationship between the spatial orientation and the natural environment,culture and society.At the same time,this dissertation hopes to explore the value of Chinese traditional farming civilization,protect and inherit the excellent traditional culture of the countryside,and provide a valuable reference for the revitalization of the village and the improvement of the rural living standard and style.The research content of this dissertation is summarized as follows:(1)Studying the formation and development of China’s traditional spatial orientation and its influencing factors,including natural environmental factors and traditional ritual thoughts,yin and yang,five elements theory and other social and cultural factors,and summed up the embodiment of traditional orientation conception in settlement space organization and building site selection.(2)Study the basic situation of the traditional dwellings in the cave dwellings.Based on the field research and related literatures of Baishe Village in Sanyuan County,the statistics of each level of space are sorted out,and the spatial prototype of the cave dwellings in Baishe Village is summarized.(3)systematically study the orientation of the village from the site selection,the community organization,the courtyard,and the interior of the cave dwelling according to the spatial hierarchy from large to small,starting from the natural and cultural factors,exvacating the degree of influence of factors in the formation process of cave dwellings.(4)Comparing the spatial types dominated by different orientations,and comparing them with the traditional dwellings with the north facing south as the ideal model,summing up the adaptation strategy of the traditional azimuth view to the different orientations in the architectural form of the cave dwelling. |
