Cave dwelling is a characteristic architectural form in China,which is mainly distributed in Shaanxi,Gansu,Shanxi,Henan and other areas in the loess plateau region of China.As a kind of cave dwelling,underground cave dwellings not only embody the characteristics of traditional dwellings,but also contains rich and simple ecological thoughts.It is a model of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.Baishe village,located in Sanyuan county,Shaanxi province,has a large-scale underground cave dwelling,known as the "first village of underground cave dwellings ".The village is 25 kilometers away from the county seat of Sanyuan.It got its name because of the extensive planting of cypress trees.However,due to the destruction of the village by wars in history,a large number of cypress trees were destroyed.Nowadays,more fruit trees and rowan trees are planted in the village.Since the reform and opening up,with the increasing improvement of people's living standards and the continuous development of new rural construction,the villagers in Baishe village have gradually abandoned this traditional form of raw earth dwelling house due to the inherent defects,such as poor ventilation and lighting,damp summer,and inconvenient access.The underground cave dwellings in the village is on the point of abandonment.Therefore,it is urgent to protect and reuse the abandoned underground cave dwellings.This paper hopes to make an in-depth study on the spatial reconstruction model and the technical strategies used in the reconstruction of the underground cave dwellings in Baishe village at the present stage,so as to provide references for future researchers.The research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)sort out the basic conditions of underground cave dwellings in Baishe village,Sanyuan county,including its formation reasons,historical evolution,overall layout and architectural features;(2)conduct field research on existing underground cave dwellings in Baishe village,make a comprehensive statistic of the quality of pit kilns in the village and grade them,so as to determine the underground cave dwellings with reuse value;(3)analyze the advantages and disadvantages of underground cave dwellings,the reasons for abandonment,the prospects of reuse and the daily life needs of modern people,and then get the new requirements of modern people's life style on pit kiln as a building form;(4)study the transformation modes of the spatial level in the reuse of underground cave dwellings in Baishe village at the present stage,and analyze the correlation between these transformation modes and the protection of underground cave dwellings and the local economic development;(5)put forward specific technical strategies for the reuse and reconstruction of underground cave dwellings,evaluated whether the transformed underground cave dwellings overcame its inherent defects,verified the reconstruction results with Ladybug,Honeybee,PHOENICS and other software simulation,and tried to give Suggestions.
