Research On The Transformation Of Industrial Heritage Silos Under The Concept Of Realms Of Memory

With the advent of the post-industrial era,the city has been repositioned,and abandoned industrial plants are facing the fate of reconstruction and demolition.How to better return the industrial plants that are separated from urban development to the city,and to continue the city’s history and heritage is a serious challenge facing urban development today.Among the many types of buildings in industrial plants,silos are a representative type and a lively carrier of the historical process of urban industrialization.Therefore,this article takes silo buildings as the research object,and based on the related research of memory theory,puts forward the concept of "memory place" in industrial heritage silo buildings,which provides a theoretical basis and humanities for the renewal and transformation of industrial heritage silo buildings.Perspective.First,this article summarizes the concepts and characteristics of the "memory field" by combing the relevant memory and place theories.On this basis,do an in-depth study of the internal relationship between architecture and memory.By analyzing the 80,000-ton silo renovation project of Minsheng Wharf,various "memory fields" contained in the silo building are analyzed.The elements of the "memory field" in the silo building are divided into four categories: morphological features,spatial structural elements,production process elements,and emotional metaphor elements.Finally,according to the induction of the "memory field" contained in the silo building,combined with the domestic and foreign silo building renovation cases and plans,the reconstruction strategy of the "memory field" in the silo building is summarized based on Volume characteristics,facade characteristics,internal space of the barrel,funnel structural components,equipment components,production paths,traces and light explore the remodeling and reproduction of the "memory field" in the silo building to emphasize the elements of the memory field The importance of awakening for the recovery of silo construction.
