Research On The Memory Places Of Urban Streets

City streets have always been the place where people live.Everywhere here,people of all kinds stage their life stories.People love streets because streets record people’s memories,and they are also the spiritual carrier of urban belonging and identity.In our city streets,there are some public spaces,architectural landscapes and service facilities that are closely related to people’s lives,such as shops,squares,overpasses,old buildings and so on.But with the rapid progress of urbanization in China,these places are gradually disappearing,and people’s feelings about them are gradually fading.People’s spiritual homes should be protected,and the value of urban street memory places should be re-recognized.At present,the research on memory places is still in its infancy in China,and it lacks a clear definition and systematic theoretical research support.If these precious places are not valued,most departments will face the fate of being demolished and disappear into the wave of modernization.Starting from the nature of memory,this article first studies the concept of urban memory places.When a person loses his memory,he will not know the meaning of his existence and lose his direction.This is also the case in a city.The disappearance of urban memory seems to be painless,but it will actually put the city into a state of out of control and become a floating island without a foundation,affecting all aspects of urban residents’ lives.The memory of a city can exist on many carriers,such as books,music,movies,architecture,text,and other art or non-art forms.Within the scope of landscape studies,the term place is closely related to the memory of the city.The place of memory is the interrelationship between time and space.Although memory can fade away in the timeline,it can be preserved and improved by means of place in the spatial sense.Therefore,the article gives the concept of urban street memory places,and attempts to preserve fragmented urban memories by studying urban street memory places.The first part,through the analysis of the two concepts of "memory" and "place",finds out the connection between the two and systematically proposes the concept of "memory place in urban street".The second part further analyzes the types,characteristics and values of the memory places of urban streets,and deepens the analysis of their concepts.The third part analyzes the constituent elements of the city street memory places in depth,expounds the constituent elements of the street memory places,and researches its mechanism.Provide a theoretical basis for the renewal and protection of urban street memories.The fourth part analyzes the excellent cases of urban protection and renewal in China,and finds ways to continue the urban street memory places.The fifth part,based on the previous theoretical research,conducts an empirical study on the street memory places in Qilou District,Haikou City,and counts the number of memory places.Location and classification,and propose overall protection and update strategies for it.This article mainly adopts the method of reading a lot of literature,integrates the knowledge of various subject areas,and conducts theoretical research.This research makes up for the gap in the research of street memory places in China,and at the same time has a certain guiding role in the future preservation of Haikou Qilou block.
