Research On Higher Engineering Education In The Ruling Area Of Nationalist Party In Shaanxi During The Period Of The Comprehensive Anti-Japanese War

Since the outbreak of the all-round Anti-Japanese War,in order to preserve the national strength,the Nanjing National government had implemented the policies of"northwest industrial construction strategy" and "internal relocation of universities" in the fields of industry and education.As a result,it promoted the development of Higher Engineering Education in Shaanxi Province.The development of Higher Engineering Education in Shaanxi during wartime was not only the need to realize the adjustment of national higher education layout,but also the inevitable choice to save the poor condition in Shaanxi since modern times.It had only few explorations before Nanjing national government came into power in the higher engineering education of Shaanxi,so its development quality was worrying.After the July 7th Incident,the higher engineering education in Shaanxi Province experienced two stages of formation and development,which was under the comprehensive effect of the state,society and academia.Meanwhile,engineering education had made great achievements in management system,personnel training,scientific research and social services.From the point of view of the characteristics of engineering education,it was practical in the way,diverse in the content and urgent in the development process.From a historical point of view,it had preserved a good foundation for China's higher engineering education,in addition,it carried forward the engineering spirit of striving for excellence and climbing the peak bravely.Last but the most important,it established the basic pattern of Higher Engineering Education in Shaanxi after the war.However,due to the lack of funds,poor management and so on,it also had unavoidable limitations.It is conducive to providing important reference for the exploration and reform of "new engineering" when we give this historical event an objective analysis and evaluation.Besides the "Introduction",the article is divided into four parts.The first part briefly summarizes the historical basis of Engineering Education in Shaanxi before the Anti Japanese War,and emphatically analyzes the motivation of the it in the war.In the second part,according to the changing course of the development of Higher Engineering in Shaanxi Province during the wartime which was divided into two stages of formation and development,the chapter states the background and specific process of each stage respectively.The third part summarizes the general situation of the implementation of Higher Engineering Education in Shaanxi Province during the wartime,focusing on the management system,personnel training,scientific research and social services.Meanwhile,we refine the characteristics of the development of Engineering Education in wartime in Shaanxi.Lastly,the article gives objective analysis of the historical significance and limitations of the higher engineering education in Shaanxi Province during the period of Anti-Japanese war.
