The existing urban area is the birthplace of a city which accumulates the traditional culture and shows features of a city's development throughout history.Furthermore,it has relative more ecological background resources from the selection of ancients'city making.But now the frequent problems of existing urban areas decline the cityscape gradually,even form dirty and disorder shanty towns in block.With the assumption of Chinese countries' fast urbanization,the townscape feature crisis has become a continually puzzling problem and is being enhanced to a new strategic level gradually in contemporary development process.Consequently,which is based on the reality of common cultural dislocation and ciryscape feature dediciency in current Chinese cities,and pratical cases and thereotical researches of the Shantytown Transformation and cityscape features,this article studies problems,demands,infuencing factors and reconstruction paths of the Shantytown Transformation in existing urban areas that is based on the cityscape feature reconstruction by means of systematic and conprehensive approaches,and proposes six individualized and feasibility advices.The article also takes Xiangshan Shantytown Transformation in existing urban areas for example,and summarizes and concludes three strategic systems,such as spatial skin texture continuation,"the Xiang school" buildings reconstruction and ecological environment optimization.On this basis,the article proposes some solutions to implement the programme by analyzing cases of concrete districts and combining problems about utilization and management of land.
