Evidence-based Design Of Healing Garden Waterscape For Autistic Children

Children with autism(ASD)as a special group suffer from disease,frequently-occurring disease in childhood,in the current medical conditions,it is unable to heal,they need to get more social concern and help,at home and abroad in recent years,using the healing garden and horticulture therapy intervention and rehabilitation treatment of ASD children made a lot of successful cases.This paper reviews the research progress of autism treatment,healing garden water landscape and evidence-based design.Through the analysis of excellent cases of healing garden water landscape at home and abroad,the design points and principles of healing garden water landscape for children with ASD are summarized.Based on the summary and analysis of the current medical situation of children with ASD and the influence of water landscape purification process on the psychological effect of children,the gardening therapy activities with micro-waterscape were integrated into the evidence-based design of healing garden for children with ASD.A special school in Suzhou ASD children as the research object,by evidence-based design as the research method,through the design space ASD children develop related horticultural therapy activities and common aquatic plant purification effect data statistical analysis,concise of ASD children's physical and mental rehabilitation intervention effects of horticultural therapy activities,filter water purification effect of aquatic plants,healing of ASD children garden landscape design evaluation system on the level of the water landscape design;Through the design of horticultural therapy space in the healing garden of the special education center,the idea of healing garden design with the theme of "spa healing"integrating five senses of stimulation and games was put forward.In order to provide evidence for the healing garden construction and the rehabilitation of children with ASD.The results showed that the combination of the plants with more effective water purification function such as Ceratophyllum demersum L.and Herba Lysimachia to create water landscape and their related horticultural therapy activities had positive effects on the physical and mental health of children with ASD.
