A Preliminary Study On The Theory An Modern Therapeutic Garden

In the last twenty to thirty years, the upsurge about Therapeutic Garden research has been raised in the landscape architecture academia at home and abroad. Healthcare environment is the cradle of Therapeutic Garden, most of the present relevant design methods heads from healing garden’s practice and summarize. However, with the development of medical care technology and the upgrading of the overall health concept, the connotation and extension of Therapeutic Garden is continuously being expanded, the scope of its application has extended the original hospital outer space to the non-medical region where the majority of people stay,like workplace、campus、neighborhood street、city open space and so on,hence, the corresponding design method of Therapeutic Garden must be changed adaptively. Base on it, this article aims at coming up with the design system of "Modern Therapeutic Garden" on the basis of correlation studies, and it discuss a "Theory-Practice’s "binary research ideas regarding Therapeutic Garden by taking an actual project as an example.The main content of this study can be summarized as the following:(1) Based on the project background and relative study progress at home and abroad, making clear the research purposes, meaning, and content, understand research method and technology route, in order to make research more scientific and reasonable.(2) Correlating references with research, defining related concepts and confirmed the concept、category and classification which this article studies, according to the course of history in union of landscape and medicine recalling the development history of Therapeutic Garden.(3) Exploring the mechanism of Therapeutic Garden and relating theoretical model according to the multidisciplinary, thus will supply the theoretic support for the design of Therapeutic Garden.(4) Analyzing the essential qualities that Therapeutic Garden’s designers should have form the height of the design methodology, inspiring the thought of Therapeutic Garden’s designers from case study, researching Therapeutic Garden’s elements from the main object. Using it as a base, integrating and refining the design criteria of Therapeutic Garden from macro-construction in order to constitute the design system of "Modern Therapeutic Garden".(5) Using design system of Therapeutic Garden to guide practices, and examining the scientificalness of above theory method with relevant methods to explore the "Theory-practice’"s binary research ideas, for the sake of offering a method which will contribution to related subject research.
