The Traditional Architecture Construction Techniques Of Southwestern Shandong Province

Traditional architecture of southwestern Shandong Province occupies a place in the folk houses of shandong with its unique historical and humanistic values and distinctive architectural features.This paper conducts a large amount of field investigation about the traditional settlements and traditional buildings in southwest of Shandong,and it obtains first-hand information on the local traditional construction techniques by means of interviewing craftsmen.On this basis,the traditional architecture which were located in Southwest Shandong will be sorted and classified by systematic methods,and all kinds of native traditional consruction techniques that consist of all traditional buildings will be concluded rightly.Finally,the comprehensive cognition will be formed of traditional building techniques' s system and regional characteristics in southwestern Shandong Province,and then set up the information database of traditional construction craft.In order to provide basic data and technical support for the protection that related to traditional construction craft and the activation study in the future.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is regarded as the introduction of the whole paper.First of all,the paper sorts out the reference literatures and materials,and makes a analysis as well.At the same time,it summarizes the research background of traditional techniques from a macro perspective,and makes a instruction briefly for the reason why selecting this topic.Furthmore,we distinguish the meaning of the research object and define the research scope,besides,make clear the research content and research purpose of this paper.By sorting out the current research what had made in China,to explore the deficiencies and shortcomings in these research,so as to construct the research framework of this paper and put forward the appropriate research methods.The second chapter is the preparation for the research.This chapter adequatelydiscussed the resources that can be used for the research of traditional construction techniques in the southwest of Shandong Province.It makes a careful research plan,and put forward the appropriate research contents and working ideas.And the chapter dissects the conditions and influence factors of the traditional architecture in southwest Shandong Province from two aspects: natural condition and social environment.The third chapter explores the application with a macro perspective that the traditional construction techniques were used in village morphology,streets layout and courtyard space.The four and fifth chapters are the main portion of the study of traditional construction techniques.At last,it will be sorted out the main development vein of the construction technology system by doing field research,mapping and interviewing the craftsman in three ways,and making a real record of the traditional construction techniques in southwest Shandong Province.Chapter six are the summary.Discussion on the value and characteristics of traditional construction techniques based on the research results of this paper.In addition,analyzing the status quo of the inheritance and protection that traditional construction techniques have as well as the problems that is facing now.And finally,reflecting on the shortcomings of this paper and pointing out the stream of thought are the next study direction.
