Research On The Application Of "Blank Space" Art In Contemporary Cultural Exhibition Space

Blank space is not only an important artistic expression technique in Chinese paintings,but also an important approach to the aesthetic mood of art works.It is similar to the foreign Gestalt theory,the western aesthetic "blank" art,and the Japanese concepts of "empty" and "space".The "blank space" art featuring "blank but not void,empty but not lacking" is also widely popular in ceramics,photography,poetry,opera,film and television and other art fields.In the artistic design and expression of architectural environment,the "blank space" art also plays a significant role.As people's material and cultural needs increase,their demands for the taste and aesthetics of the design of cultural display space are also growing.The artistic expression,such as the Chinese philosophy mood and the rule of formal beauty,of "blank space" in the cultural display space to a great extent meet the spiritual needs of people for architectural space design.The combination of cultural display space and "blank space" is conducive both to the promotion of the artistic connotation and artistic conception of traditional Chinese culture,and to the improvement of national cultural self-confidence,better meeting people's psychological and cultural needs.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction: by learning about the relevant background of this topic and studying the research status both at home and abroad,the research methods and research framework for this topic are established.The second chapter expounds the relevant theories concerning "blank space" and contemporary cultural display space: firstly,it discusses the meaning,origin and development of "blank space" art;secondly,it analyzes other related research of "blank space" art;finally,it discusses the overview of contemporary cultural display space,the concept and characteristics ofcultural display space,as well as the relationship between contemporary cultural display space and "blank space" art.The third chapter explores the main characteristics of "blank space" art:firstly,it introduces the artistic expression of artistic conception;secondly,it introduces the artistic expression of formal beauty law(blank space in proper composition,facade blank space in rhythm,blank space in intervals);finally,it introduces the incompleteness,implicit and other aesthetic feeling of blank space.In the fourth chapter,based on the author's research on the theory of "blank space" art,and in line with the actual needs of contemporary cultural display space design projects,the author carries out the practical application of the environmental design of Sishui Museum.
