Study On The Coordinated Development Of Nantong Port And City

At present,China’s economic development has entered a period of medium and high-speed growth.Port plays a more and more important role in economic growth.The coordinated development level between the port and the port city has become an important indicator to evaluate the economic development ability of the port and the city.However,the disharmony of the port and the port city often occurs in the development process of some ports and port cities.The main performance is as follows: port developed and port city development lag behind,port declined and port city further developed,port and port city declined at the same time.In recent years,Nantong City has developed rapidly.Nantong port has continuously improved its operational capacity with its geographical advantages.To a certain extent,whether Nantong port and Nantong City are in harmony affects the development level of port and port city.Therefore,this paper first established the evaluation system of port and port city coordinated development on the basis of theory.At the same time,the evaluation model of comprehensive development level of port and port city,the coordination model of port and port city and the coordination development model of port and port city are constructed.Secondly,through reading a lot of relevant literature,summarizing and combining with the development characteristics of Nantong port and city.We can list the discrimination table of coordinated development relationship between port and port city.Thirdly,we choose Nantong City and Nantong port 2008-2018 related index data for empirical analysis.The results show that Nantong port and city has been in a state of high-quality coordination since 2014,but the development of Nantong Port lags behind the development of Nantong city.Then,it analyzes the causes and mechanism of the coordinated development of Nantong port and city.Finally,according to the analysis results of the model,some thoughts are put forward on the coordinated development of Nantong port and city in the future.Suggestions are put forward from five aspects: optimizing the functional layout of the port and the port city,promoting the coordinated green development of the port and the port city,accelerating the construction of the collection and distribution system,strengthening the connection between Nantong and Shanghai,and improving the coordinated comprehensive competitiveness of the port and the port city.
