Research On The Communist Party Of China And The Railway Construction In The Early Days Of The New China

Railway Construction is an important prerequisite for national development and the only way for modernization,especially for the country's construction and development in the early days of the new China.With its unique technical and economic characteristics and adaptability,railway transportation has become the backbone of China's transportation industry and the main artery of the national economy.Mao Zedong emphasized that the restoration and development of the economy need "firstly solve the problems of transportation and repair of railways,highways and rivers" and emphasize the role of the "first officer" of the railway.The party and state leaders stand at the strategic height of governing the country and have important practical significance for the development of today's railway industry.This article aims at exploring the Communist Party of China and the Railway Construction in the early days of the new China.The content of the article mainly includes the following four aspects.First,it reviews the three tough periods of the late Qing Dynasty,the Northern Warlords Government and the Kuomintang government and the political,economic and military background of Railway Construction in the early days of the new China.It also objectively analyzes the historical evolution of the Railway and the Railway enterprise initially controlled by the party.Second,it sorts out the practical work of Railway Construction in three parts:take-over,restoration and construction of new lines,detailed take over the old Chinese railways,take back foreign-controlled railways,repair railways,renovate railways and build new ones.Third,it analyzes the role of Railways in promoting party governance which can be shown from restoring the national economy,strengthening national political stability,promoting national defense construction,motivating diplomatic work and improving people's livelihood.And the article summarizes the Railway Construction experience from the perspective of governance.The fourth is the conclusion,generalizing the content of the whole article and proposing the shortcomings in the article.This article combines the Railway Construction in the early days of the new China with the party's governance of the country and tries to explore the series of practices and experiences of Railway Construction.It analyzes from four levels of strengthening centralization,mobilizing the people's army,carrying out mass movements and coordinating new and old constructions,which has important significance and reference value on China's modernization construction.
