How to safely dispose of high-level radioactive waste is a world-class problem in the field of nuclear energy development.And the construction of underground laboratories is a key step in the deep geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste.Due to the complicated construction structure of underground laboratory engineering and the difficulty of project implementation,it is an important issue that how to effectively plan,design and evaluate the construction plan of underground laboratory engineering.Based on geometric structure,topological relationship and geological semantics,the multisource data of the underground laboratory is fused and expressed,and a three-dimensional digital model of the underground laboratory is constructed in this paper.Some algorithms are adopted such as automatic terrain generation;perspective,section and other digital model visual expressions;which are combined with interactive means of viewpoint positioning under immersive environment,to build a digital model visualization system of underground laboratory for immersion high-level radioactive waste geological disposal.The following aspects of the digital model visualization research of the underground laboratory in the immersive environment are described:(1)It is the construction process and structure design of digital model visualization system of underground laboratory in immersive environment.The construction process is mainly to integrate the engineering data of the underground laboratory,construct the digital model of the underground laboratory,and design the visualization system of the immersive underground laboratory digital model.The system is mainly divided into four major modules: underground laboratory visualization interactive module,viewpoint positioning interactive module in immersive environment,underground laboratory digital model visual module,and underground laboratory immersive roaming module.(2)It is the construction process of digital model in underground laboratory.First,the system’s data resource system is introduced.A series of processing and fusion of data from multiple data sources are finally converted into some elements with space as a clue,such as drilling,drawing,laboratory sample measurement,etc.These elements include: surface architecture,geomorphy,main body of underground laboratory,and local entity of underground laboratory,which are provided a data basis for the construction of underground laboratory digital models.Second,the 3D model architecture of the underground laboratory is clarified,and the 3D model architecture of the 3D data visualization system of the underground laboratory is divided into three layers: geometric object,topological relationship and attribute object.Then the construction process of the geometric model of the underground laboratory is described,including construction of criteria,methods,process,specific construction process,mapping and material mapping process,and model optimization methods.Next,the process of building a geomorphic model through the Perlin Noise function in the underground laboratory is described.(3)Two interactive methods are provided by the underground laboratory digital model visualization system.The first one is based on visual cues for interactive means of viewpoint positioning,and the interaction with the system is based on the user’s focus of sight.And the other is 3D data visualization interaction.The system provides multiple visual representations: 3D landscape,perspective 3D landscape and section.Both methods are more conducive to the researchers’ analysis and research on the construction plan of the underground laboratory.(4)It is the concrete construction process of the digital model visualization system of the underground laboratory in the immersive environment.It includes system scene construction,lighting processing and sky box settings,roaming route settings,and the final realization of the system.The experimental results show that the system can provide a reference basis for demonstrating the design scheme and engineering planning of the underground laboratory project,and improve the intuitiveness of the comprehensive analysis of the underground laboratory research data.
