With the rapid development of urbanization in the worldwide, urban problems are also increasing, urban noise pollution is more and more concerned by the government and the people of the world, the urban traffic noise is the most extremely one of the serious pollution sources, therefore scientific visualization and analysis of traffic noise based on the urban traffic noise prediction model by using VR and GIS in the urban area, has become a hot spot in the research field of scholars and technicians, the related research results will be more conducive to the work such as city planning, transportation construction and noise compliance area construction to be more and more effective and reasonable.Based on the existing research results of the urban traffic noise and the prediction and analysis system of urban traffic noise, this paper modifies the urban traffic noise prediction model recommended by the Ministry of transportation by using the noise data monitored by the noise group of the Marine Information Technology Laboratory of Ocean University of China in the Fifteenth Street of Qingdao, and develops different ways of visual function of the prediction and analysis system of the urban traffic noise on the basis of the modified model, the focus of the research includes the following three aspects:1. Give an outline of the calculation model of the urban noise in horizontal dimension and the modification of the attenuation parameter using in calculation process, redefine the shielding attenuation and other attenuation calculating module, compare with old prediction and analysis system of the urban traffic noise in the part of the noise prediction model and the visualization process, improve the visualization results of the urban traffic noise in horizontal dimension.2. Give an outline of the calculation model of the urban traffic noise in vertical dimension and the modification of the attenuation parameter using in the calculation process, select the noise of the high-rise buildings on the both sides of the urban traffic trunk road as the research object, considering the environment surrounding the high-rise buildings along the urban traffic trunk road and the distance of the central line of the road to the high-rise buildings, referencing urban city noise visualization function in horizontal dimension, complete the visualization of the urban traffic noise on the surface of the high-rise building in vertical dimension.3. Complete the development of the3D visualization function of the urban traffic noise of high-rise buildings, using the ray-casting algorithm of volume rendering, combined with existing visualization results in horizontal dimension and vertical dimension, to further improve the visualization function of the prediction and analysis system of noise.Based on all above three aspects, this paper improves the visualization function of the prediction and analysis system of the urban noise, and the visualization results of the old system, provides a new idea of the combination with the volume rendering and the visualization of the urban traffic noise.
