Study On 3D Visualization Of Road

The visualization of three-dimensional road and terrain surface can combine the design materials of road and terrain together, as can produce the road and terrain 3D scene. This can help to improve road design quality. This paper studies some technologies, such as setting up the road and terrain integrated model, road 3D scene, etc.After reviewing the existing 3D spatial data model, the modeling method of 3D road landscape is introduced for 3D visualization, analytical analysis and thematic information management of a large-scale area. This thesis applied synthetically those theories and technologies of computer graphics, computational geometry and geometrical modeling, scientific computation visualization, interactive, virtual reality, computer animation etc, to research thoroughly and carefully on several critical technology of computer aided alignment design, such as digital terrain model, interactive alignment, 3D modeling of route entity, showing realistic image and dynamic and real time display of 3D route scene etc.
