Radiation therapy is one of the three major cancer treatment,radiation therapy must have three steps-positioning,planning,irradiation.The positioning includes positioning before irradiation,simulation,planning positioning and treatment verification,its core is radiotherpy simulator.In recent years,radiation therapy showing a new trend,its main features is precise positioning,accurate and precise irradiation plan.The digital technology represented by computer science is a key technology to promote the development of modern radiation therapy.In this paper,through the development of digital radiotherapy simulator,introduces the digitized image is based on the development of radiotherapy simulators digital workstation software done some research work,including digital X-ray image acquisition and display,distorted images in real time correction,DICOM image transmission,image processing,the outline of the lead block making,positioning parameters acquisition and display,motion control and other aspects of the design components.Finally,we designed and implemented the digital radiotherapy simulator.The digital workstation systems including modules of digital image acquisition&calibration,image processing,medical records management,DICOM interfaces,motion control.The test of digital radiotherapy simulator verified the function completeness,stability and ease of operation in this sytem.
