| Sustainable Hydroelectric power plants in Ecuador have been the hope for many people on generating jobs and bringing big earnings to the country of Ecuador,in order to finance social programs focusing on reducing poverty and improve health and education. At this point in time many plants are interested to be sustainable in all these key three aspects of economic, social and environment. There are a number of hydroelectric practices as an illustration we have Financing ability, operating performance rate,Production cost,Social Development,Employment,Cultural heritage,Impact on the Soil,Impact on the Water,Construction waste management,Solid common waste management and Solid non-common waste management therefore hydroelectric power plants can be able to achieve sustainability. This analysis presents an Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP)model of hydroelectric sustainability through different hydroelectric power plant practices. For the first part of the methodology a survey was conducted from academia and industry, what followed was the development of the AHP model. From this study is identified that San Francisco Hydroelectric power plant with a rank of 31% has the best practices in economic factors and the emblematic project Coca Codo Sinclair has the best in social with a rank of 38% and environmental factors with a rank of 38.1%,reaching in this way to a big part of the hopes the Ecuadorian people expected. On the contrary HidroSanBartolo and Oca?a were at the bottom of the ranking in the three aspescts of economic with a rank of 6.2%-5.7%,social with a rank of 3.6%-4.7% and environment with a rank of 4%-2.7%,respectively.The research prioritization will help Hydropower strategy parameter development within the country of Ecuador. |
