Renewable energy project has been brought into focus in recent years.Although there is quite a lot of research to assist investors in assessing the economic feasibility of the project,the existing approaches may still cause a biased result because of the lack of consideration of consumer.Therefore,this paper makes an economic evaluation of renewable energy applications for residential buildings in the Western Sichuan from the life cycle based on consumer view,in order to perfect the economic evaluation system.Furthermore,the proposed system can provide a scientific basis to make decisions or policies and regulations for the relevant people.Firstly,this paper analyzes the application status,development trend and research situation of renewable energy at home and abroad.Secondly,according to the characteristics of economic evaluation of renewable energy,and the distribution of renewable energy in the Western Sichuan,this paper utilizes the triangular fuzzy number(TFN),analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and data envelopment analysis(DEA)to establish a comprehensive model.Meanwhile,a visual operating interface based on DEA has been designed to simplify the calculation.Thirdly,a case of solar water heater has been investigated to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.Then,the research makes a comprehensive analysis for the initial cost,the adjusted cost,the benchmark cost and the incremental cost.Finally,the study compares with the simple DEA to verify the superiority of the proposed comprehensive model.Through the research,this paper draws three important conclusions.(1)The integrated algorithm proposed in this paper is feasible.It is more scientific and reasonable than the simple DEA method.Besides,the visual operating interface makes the calculation easier.(2)The incremental cost is generally less than zero.It shows that the use of solar water heater can save the cost and make the economy feasible.(3)The initial cost is obviously higher than the adjusted cost.It means that it is necessary to reduce the investment cost greatly to achieve the maximum consumer satisfaction.Therefore,to promote the application of renewable energy,it is necessary for the developer and government to work together.
