FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive is the state of art AC drive locomotive for passenger,which has features of big tonnage traction and fast speed.The bottle-neck situation of pressure on railway passenger transport will be improved effectively.It can meet the basic requirement on locomotive passenger transport’ market and bring the huge economic and social benefits.In this paper,the status and the trend of development of Diesel Locomotive and the importance of research on domestic high-speed passenger Diesel Locomotive are introduced.The key problems of Car-body Design of FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive are analyzed,which are the improvement of strength of Car-body to meet the intrernational standards,and light-weight desigen of Car-body based on the research on huge amount domestic and overseas data for Diesel Locomotive.Firstly,the operation environment and technical parameters of FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive are briefly introduced.The basic requirement of Car-body design and technical route are clarified through the explanation of locomotive general layout and equipment parameters.Meanwhile,the advanced design concept of Car-body structure of FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive is clarified from the following parts: overall loaded Car-body structure,underframe with integrated fuel tank,isolated cab with vibration reduction function,and cab anti-collision structure etc.Secondly,in order to ensure and meet the requirement of high strength and weight-reduction design of Car-body of the FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive,the software creo2.0 is used to build Car-body 3D model,and the finite element software ANSYS is used to build Car-body structure FEM.The static strength of Car-body structure is calculated under 10 cases according to the standards of domestic and international BS EN 12663-1:2010,BS EN 15227-2008+A1-2010,TJ/JW 102-2017 and etc.The details of part of Car-body structure are added or cut based on the result of computation,whose weight can meet the overall design requirements.Finally,the strength is necessary for the Car-body of high speed passenger Diesel Locomotive under the cases of the entire car traction,the compression,the top compression of anti-collision wall,the compression of cab side wall.The static strength of the improved and weight-reduced Car-body structure is checked and the static strength test of actual Car-body structure is done.Under the condition of meeting the design weight,the Car-body structure strength and stiffness is reasonable,and the performance of FXN3 Passenger Diesel Locomotive is enhanced.It will help to accumulate experience in research on high speed passenger Diesel Locomotive and increase the technology of the Chinese locomotive design.
