Project Management Procedure Improving And Practice Of Overseas EPC Thermal Power Plant Project

As sustainable development of global economic integration,development of economic in countries like Vietnam,Pakistan in Southeast Asian increases at a rapid speed,but power supply is becoming a serious limiting factor for its further development.And also the industry manufacturing ability & technology of these countries are outdated which makes China power manufacturing and engineering company a chance to open up international markets.Lots of China companies are competing as active participators in international EPC projects.The scope of work of power plant project is wide-ranged and project management is complicated,there are large gaps between advanced international and China project management skills and procedure,especially in project schedule,quality,cost and HSE(Health,Safety,Enviorment)management areas,China ventures need to enhance accumulation,and study the advanced experiences in international power plants projects management.This article analyses the shortcomings in past EPC project management procedure of company A,and afer improving VE method,interfaces management and schedule control method application in schedule control are added in the improved procedure,and it is realized in VT power plant in contury Y,and whole project execution process is under control and finally gets good execution results.This article focuses on following aspects in the management procedure after improving,including the application of VE theory in project cost control aera during design stage,enhancement of design,procument and construction interfaces management to explicit vendors work scope and responsiblity,schedule control theoties and methords application like WBS and ANO in construction stage in order to enhance schedule management and control.Finally verifies the effects of improved project management procedure in project execution which proves these improvements are nessesary.And at last with reference to VT project execution experiences,the writer has carried the comprehensive summary on overseas EPC power plant project management procedure to offer reference to other project execution in the future.
