| With the rapid and confirmed development of the society and economy,there is an increasing demand for people on travelling to the world wonders,experiencing exotic culture and enriching spiritual world.At the same time,the revenue from developing tourism industry has become an important cornerstone of local financial economy,and the sale of souvenirs is an important part of it.Tourist souvenirs have the attributes of cultural and creative products and media.They are designed by designers to develop and spread the culture of the area.The designer continues to deepen the characteristics based on the local natural resources and cultural resources,transforming it into a design symbol with a strong regional culture,and then presenting it through tourist souvenirs.Reasonable tourist souvenir design can effectively display the cultural tourism value of the scenic spot,so consumers can remember the good times on the journey.This plays an important role in shaping and disseminating the image of the scenic spot,inheriting the regional culture,and promoting the development of local tourism.Since ancient times,Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes has been a shining star on the Silk Road,known as the "Oriental Louvre." At present,Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes,as a cultural and tourist destination,is well received by domestic and foreign consumers and has great market potential.However,compared with the overall development of the tourism industry,the design and development level of the corresponding tourist souvenirs is relatively backward.At the same time,the souvenir consumer market still needs to expand the product space,and the consumer’s purchase demand has not been satisfied.On the one hand,cultural expression theory can enhance consumers’ understanding of products and lay the foundation for the brand building of culture and its products.On the other hand,the three-level theory focuses on satisfying consumers’ appeals about the emotional function of products.Therefore,we attempt to combine these two theories with the emotional design of the Mogao Grottoes via the project.Moreover,on the basis of accurately grasping the commodity attributes and cultural characteristics of tourist souvenirs,we seek an innovative and feasible design pattern and design tourist souvenirs that not only carry the historical and cultural connotations of Mogao Grottoes,but also meet the emotional needs of current consumers.This has practical significance and value for improving the development level of the tourism industry in Mogao. |
