This thesis applies the theory of perceptual experience in psychology to product design,and explores how to use products with perceptual experience for design innovation.Firstly,the relationship between perceptual experience and design is sorted out.Secondly,the development status of product design under the influence of perceptual experience is analyzed.Then,the design method of perceptual experience is further discussed.Finally,the design method is demonstrated by using perceptual experience design example which is Sony’s "hidden perception" series productsIn the first part,through the study of the related theory of perceptual experience,it is found that perception can bring people experience mainly consists of two parts feelings and esthesis.This paper illustrates the principle of human sensory system and its application in design by giving examples of related things in daily life,and explores the relationship between design and perceptual experienceIn the second part,based on the analysis and research of the current situation of perceptual experience and product design,the influence of perceptual experience on design is explained,and then the design method of perceptual experience is analyzed and discussed.Firstly,the design hierarchy is divided according to the degree to which people receive external information stimulation.Secondly,the relevant design elements are extracted.Finally,the design method system is constructed through three aspects merging,situational and movingIn the third part,through the analysis of Sony’s "Hidden Sense" series of smart home products,this part demonstrates the hierarchical division,design points and the practicality of design methods in sensory experience design.Finally,it is concluded that product design based on perceptual experience can influence the way people understand the product,and at the same time,it is possible to change the way of life in the future.
