With the continuous popularization of automobiles,in addition to paying attention to automobile quality and after-sales service,people pay more and more attention to the price of automobiles,and the competition among automobile manufacturers is becoming more and more intense.Often,for a car's cost,parts purchased from suppliers often account for 80%.Therefore,optimizing the parts supply base and establishing a benign supplier competition system are the focus of the work of OEMs and downstream parts companies.That is,supplier management has become an important concern for automakers and auto parts companies.As a typical auto parts company,IK is similar to the automakers.The components that account for more than 75% of the cost are also from the subordinate components companies.They also face same or similar situations with OEMs,and they also attach great importance to the management of its suppliers.This paper uses the theory and method of supplier management of the automotive industry to conduct a detailed survey of the supplier management status of IK's components,the management of supplier classification,new supplier development,supplier review and selection of new parts,advanced product quality planning,supplier incentives,elimination and competition system were elaborated.The company's components supplier management status was discussed comprehensively based on the theory of supplier management.And the main problems discovered after the discussion were analyzed in depth.Targeted improvement measures were put forwarded.The results of this paper's research have theoretical guidance and practical guiding significance for IK's supplier management,and also have reference value for other similar companies' supplier management.
