| At present,the international business environment is complex and changeable,and many uncertainties and increasingly fierce international competition have challenged the inefficient and extensive management methods.The competition between procurement and supplier refined management has become one of the main modes of enterprise competition.By 2020,Company C,which focuses on the international infrastructure engineering industry,will adopt more project team methods for procurement and supplier management,and different project teams will independently carry out market development,project bidding and project execution.In the face of the current uncertain global business environment and fierce competition,the drawbacks of the project team’s independent full-chain operation model also emerged,mainly manifested in the high procurement costs and the lack of supplier management system.This paper focuses on "the optimization of supplier management of Company C in the infrastructure engineering industry",based on the current situation,environmental analysis and supplier management status of Company C,through a questionnaire survey of the relevant personnel of Company C’s procurement and supplier management,summarizing effective data information,and diagnosing the main problems in the current supplier management of Company C,namely,the lack of supplier development planning,ineffective supplier classification,inadequate supplier performance rating and insufficient strategic supplier maintenance.In order to solve the main problems that affect the supplier management level of Company C,this paper draws on the procurement principles and management ideas provided in the "Logistics and Supply Chain Management Series: Procurement Principles and Management" written by Peter Baily,who is famous in the international procurement industry,and combines the Karajack model,and proposes the executable ideas and operational methods for optimizing the supplier management of Company C on the basis of supplier classification and grading.The main optimization measures include: formulate the planned implementation system of supplier development of Company C,including establishing the planned implementation objectives of supplier development,establishing the evaluation dimension of the necessity and priority of supplier development,establishing the dynamic adjustment principle of supplier development plan and clarifying the early intervention principle of new product development;Strengthen the effectiveness of supplier classification of Company C,including the establishment of main supplier classification methods and the establishment of supplier classification management system by stages and levels;Strengthen the supplier performance rating of Company C in the process,including establishing the supplier performance rating idea,establishing the supplier performance rating standard,refining the supplier performance rating indicators and standardizing the application of the supplier performance rating process and results;Formulate the strategic supplier maintenance methods of Company C,including the development of strategic supplier maintenance methods and the expansion of multi-dimensional and strategic supplier collaboration paths.Through these optimization measures,we try to let the senior managers,specific procurement and supplier management executives and other relevant parties of Company C have a grasp to jointly improve the supplier management level of Company C,improve the competitive advantage of the enterprise,and boost the realization of the overall strategic objectives of Company C.Finally,this paper also puts forward the specific operational methods and safeguard measures needed to implement the relevant supplier optimization measures. |
