Tower crane is an important transportation in the field of construction machinery,especially in the high-rise housing construction.Because of the use and construction features,tower cranes break frequently and cause economic loss.Therefore,to research an intelligent monitoring system is crucial for tower cranes.Under the above background and combined the enterprise's function requirements,this article designed a monitoring system based on ARM which can monitor and display the working conditions in real time,meantime can prevent collisions and send alarm message timely.The system also has the functions of SD data storage and remote monitoring.The major working of this article includes:(1)Analyzed the movement and structure features of the tower crane and summarized the basic requirements of the system.Built mathematical model for the tower crane and the overall framework for the realization of the system.(2)Designed the hardware system based on ARM-STM32 processor and the embedded software system.The hardware system includes AD module,relay alarm module,SD card data storage module,GSM remote monitoring module and ZIGBEE wireless communication module.The software system contains the procedure for the function modules.(3)Designed the human-machine interactive system based on DWIN serial screen.Using DWIN to initialize the system and show the critical information.(4)Designed short-range wireless communication network based on ZIGBEE and telecommunications network based on GSM.Tower cranes share its working parameters by ZIGBEE to prevent collisions and connect to Remote Monitoring platform by GSM.(5)Designed the anti-collision algorithm.Based on the calculation of dangerous distance and combined the tower crane's moving speed information to predict the time when happen collisions,thus improve the working efficiency of tower cranes.At last,we made some experiments on the system and analyzed the result.It concluded that the system can monitor and show critical information correctly in real time and prevent collision timely.The system meets the expections.
