Container transport industry as the national economy and transportation of goods and increasing prosperity has been the rapid development.Cargo transport carrier container is a standardized gained popularity in the global scope.Container is often affected by a variety of external role in cargo handling and transportation process.Container structure strength is very important. And the container design generally use the analogy method, not on the full container stress analysis, causing some parts strength surplus, and some parts of insufficient strength. The finite element modeling, finite element computation and test of 20' container are studied in this thesis.By analyzing both results of computation and experiment, finding the strength surplus and insufficient strength part, some improved structures of 20' container are designed. The detailed contents are shown as follows:(a)Introduction of container structure, test methods and requirements.(b)The finite element modeling of 20' container are established by using ANSYS software.(c)The finite element analysis are finished according to ISO related standards and classification societies specified container test inspection standard requirements of various experimental conditions on the 20' container.Through the analysis of the finite element calculation results for each test condition, pointing out the surplus and deficiency of structural strength, weight reduction and reinforcement, and the optimization scheme are validated.(d)The 20' container tests are carried out under the same conditions according to standard, measuring and recording the test results.(e)Comparison of finite element analysis and experimental results, draw conclusions and gives prospects for further research.
