As economy is developing constantly,the traffic volume in common national and provincial trunk highways continues to increase and the number of large and overweight vehicles raises,both of which aggravate the damage to the pavement structure.Besides,because of the unreasonable design of pavement structure,the design of pavement materials does not meet the requirements of local climate and environment,which seriously affects the quality of pavement use and service life.Conducting a post-evaluation on typical pavement structures of common national and provincial trunk highways and providing designers the appropriate and typical pavement structures can improve the construction quality of highway pavement,extend the service life of pavement,advance the highway traffic service environment and strongly support the continuous and fast development of economy.First of all,this paper screens out representative typical pavement structures based on the data of Guangdong common national and provincial trunk highways pavement structure types and their performances,Guangdong geography,climate and traffic conditions.Plus,this paper screens out on the basis of the principle that typical pavement structures should be the most commonly used in Guangdong common national and provincial trunk highways and are more promising in application.Then,based on Pavement Condition Index(PCI),Riding Quality Index(RQI),Rutting Depth Index(RDI)and Skidding Resistance Index(SRI),this paper makes an assessment on the performance of the typical pavement structures in three ways,which are standard evaluation method,grey clustering method and matter-element method.According to these three mutually corroborative and complemental methods,this paper obtains a reliable evaluation result about the performance.Also,this paper conducts a prediction analysis on the typical pavement structure performance indexes via grey forecast method and gains the predicted results of each performance index.Moreover,with the error analysis,this paper finds that the predicted results possess high precision and can reliably reflect the developing trend of the pavement performance.Meanwhile,in order to make a forecast on typical pavement structure performance,this paper attempts to introduce decision tree method and random forest method from the big data arithmetic.The results show that the method of decision tree and random forest prediction has high accuracy in predicting pavement performance,and can fully mine and analyze the massive road condition detection data.It is a new direction of pavement performance prediction.Lastly,this paper constructs a standard prediction model for each performance index by using grey forecast method.Plus,this paper obtains use efficiency of each typical pavement structure in three,five,eight and ten years based on a standard prediction model,which makes assessment on the typical pavement performance by applying the data envelopment analysis.Combined with the evaluation results of performance and use efficiency of the typical pavements,this paper makes a comprehensive evaluation on pavement structure of Guangdong common national and provincial trunk highways pavement structure and provides reference for the construction,maintenance and management of the national and provincial trunk highways.
