The Study On The Environmental Design Of Urban Wetland Parks For The Elderly Peoples

Under the profound social problems of aging society in China,the lack of suitable urban public spaces for the elderly peoples have become increasingly prominent.As an important way to protect urban wetlands,urban wetland parks with both ecological protection and social service functions have been extensively constructed in cities since2005,and gradually become an important part of urban public activity spaces in China.The thesis based on the physiological,psychological features and outdoor activities of the elderly peoples,the environmental design of urban wetland parks is analyzed and studied from three aspects: road and barrier-free facilities design,activity space and public facilities design,and water and plant design.In the first part of this paper,by collecting and analyzing Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs,environmental behavior,ergonomics and gerontology,as well as the relevant literature of urban wetland parks and design for the elderly peoples,the basic theoretical framework of the study on the environmental design for the elderly peoples in the urban wetland parks is preliminarily established,and the relevant literature at both domestic and abroad is summarized and analyzed.The second part is to analyze the changes of physical,psychological features and outdoor activities of the elderly peoples and to explore the needs of the elderly peoples in outdoor activities,the contradiction between the environmental design of urban wetland parks and the requirements of outdoor activities of the elderly peoples.The third part uses comparative research method,questionnaire survey and field research method to analyze the environmental design through the investigation in wetland park of Hong Kong,Talent Park in Shenzhen,Kasai Linkai Park in Japan,Shahu Park,Nanhu Happy Bay Park and Yunhu Park in Wuhan.The advantages and disadvantages of the environmental design for the elderly peoples in Urban Wetland Park are summarized,the corresponding design strategies are proposed.Inthe fourth part is the case study of the Yan-xi Lake Right Bank Wetland Park(north area)in Wuhan,the design practice has been carry out combining with the site situation,using the proposed design strategies.The thesis makes a tentative exploration on the aging environmental design of urban wetland park for the elderly peoples.The protection of ecological environment and the concern of the healthy life for the elderly peoples in the country would be inevitable way to achieve the balance between the protection of ecological environment and the development of urbanization,meanwhile to provide comfortable living condition for the elderly peoples.The thesis is of great practical significance to study the environmental design of urban wetland parks.
