Nowadays,the companies in heavy industry field are facing more and more pressure of high labor cost and raw material cost because of the complicated manufacture process and long production time.Through improving the internal production management to adapt to changes in the market,and the implementation of lean production to reduce internal waste,enhance the core competitiveness are the most effective countermeasures from enterprises.Based on the theory of single piece flow combined with other mature theories research related to lean production,this thesis constructs a "single flow" model which is suitable for traditional heavy industry enterprises.The research taking one piece flow basic theoretic,implementation methods and management tools as the guiding ideology,access to a variety of one piece flow production line plans from the equipment layout,the daily production plan management,production logistics system,quick response management and operator skill matrix operating level;then using QUEST software to establish the simulation model of the production system,through the simula-tion analysis to optimize the one piece flow of production line,finally achieved to 40% reduction of production area,60% reduction of production cycle time.In the end,the study gives a direction for the company to promote the single piece flow mode to reduce production costs,improve production efficiency in the whole production line.
